Ever wondered how stories are selected for The Moth Radio Hour, or how a storyteller overcomes stage fright? Here’s your chance to ask. Featuring storytellers Alistair Bane and Deonna Marie Cattledge. The event is free, but pre-registration is required, and seats are limited. This event will be held at Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, OK.

It was in Tulsa, where she first pitched her story to The Moth during The Moth Pop Up Porch Tour. The Moth is true stories, told live and without notes. The Moth celebrates the ability of stories to honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience, and to satisfy a vital human need for connection. It seeks to present recognized storytellers among established and emerging writers, performers and artists and to encourage storytelling among communities whose stories often go unheard.

Deonna Marie will be sharing her story for the 5th time on The Moth MainStage. The Moth brings the power of personal storytelling to millions of people each year, creating community and building empathy around the world. The Toronto International Festival of Authors is proud to present The Moth Mainstage as a precursor celebration to kick off its annual 11-day festival (September 21 – October 1).

Audiences are invited to join us for a Q&A discussion with Deonna Marie, star of “The Deonna Marie Experience.” This discussion will take place at 4:30pm on Sunday, August 27, the final day of the run of the show.
